OUR DOGS	BluNote BMD is the loving endeavor of Cindy Beckman and Jim Maxwell, and was established as an extension of our concern over the need to maintain and strengthen the quality of the Bernese Mountain Dog breed. We have been involved in Bernese Mountain Dogs since 1982, continuing to increase the time we devote to breed concerns as the years go by. We and our dogs have participated in Conformation, Drafting, Obedience, Agility and Herding to date, and plan to become more involved in Tracking in the future.
OUR PHILOSOPHY	We practice a limited breeding program, concentrating on the quality of each breeding rather than on the quantity we may produce. Our goal is to produce Bernese which are capable and willing partners in working events, while typifying the standard which defines our breed. We encourage every Bernese owner to get involved in shows and trials, including conformation, obedience, carting, herding, tracking and therapy work, as it helps to strenghten the bond between you and your dog. And we encourage and sponsor puppy owners to join both the Regional and National Bernese Clubs.
OUR PUPPIES	We are active members of the regional Bernese Moutain Dog Club of Northern California (BMDCNC) and the national Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America (BMDCA), and recommend that anyone interested in or owned by this breed participate in a specialty or all-breed club. We also submit health information on all of our dogs and all litters produced to the Berner-Garde Founation's Bernese Mountain Dog health database.
